We Ate Our Breakfast Lying On Our Backs - July 2014

Thank you to all those who have submitted scripts for this project, part of Network’s continuing commitment to new writing.

There will be a reading of all those scripts selected on 26 June. The plan is to cast the plays that evening and get straight in to the rehearsal process, for performances in the week of 21 July.

To remind you, all the plays are based on the First World War. The roles are those of young soldiers, girlfriends, mothers, uncles and friends.

We are looking for the following actors:

• 9 males aged 20-30 (including 2 Chinese or similar)
• 2 males aged 50 or thereabouts
• 4 females aged 30-40
• 4 females aged 20-30

This is an opportunity for anyone who would like to direct but is daunted by the prospect of a full length play to be involved with something shorter. If you fancy the idea please come next week.

The sets will be simple but stage crew, lighting and sound are needed so if you would like to help with any of these please come along.
